Where do you go

We're all made up of little atoms - arranged nicely for awhile but eventually the spark goes out and we cease to be. Room temperature and all that. We can neither create, nor destroy atoms, and the closest we can get to making one thing into another is to make it into an isotope of the same thing so aren't liable to make our family rich by becoming a hundred pounds of saffron. If we aren't going to end up as a flower pot or become a butterfly, and the spark of energy which pulsed through those axions and neural passages has ceased - where did we go? For that matter, where did we come from? It takes energy and matter to make little boy and girl atoms - don't tell me I started out as a Bud and a peanut butter sandwich.
